Carolyn Beeley - CEO - Chief Enjoyment Officer
Carolyn is CEO (Chief Enjoyment Officer) of the most important business…HER LIFE. She is “funemployed” and is dedicated to projects that follow her mission to Work/Play/Give all at the same time! Her strategy is to make every day FUN and MEANINGFUL or, depending on the day's events, MEANINGFUL and FUN!
As a business professional, Carolyn has extensive executive level experience in strategy and product development, marketing communications and sales for classic consumer goods companies such as Sara Lee, Playskool, Stride Rite and The First Years as well as successful entrepreneurial experience in working with start-ups and small businesses such as LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery Systems, FETCO Home Décor and Buttoned Up.
Carolyn has recently joined Lead Like a Girl where she works/plays/gives with her business partner and Lead Like a Girl founder, Leslie Stein. Together they have merged Leslie's lessons from the Army and Carolyn's zest for life, extensive experience (and "wicked cool" philosophy) with their shared belief that being who you really are is the best way to lead. Lead Like a Girl offers "play-shops", online communities, "fun-inars", and other "joy refills" for women of all ages.
As an outdoor adventure enthusiast, Carolyn may also be found providing member service at REI, sprinkling fairy dust, handing out pocket angels, and leading the social media efforts for Women's Quest.
Carolyn is an ACSM certified personal trainer and a professional life coach. She earned leadership certification from The Coaches Training Institute Co-Active Leadership Program (proud Air Dragon). She currently serves as the Boston Ambassador for The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) – the world’s largest in-person coach training school. Carolyn received her BA from Alverno College and her personal journey is profiled in Break Through Your Set Point by Dr. George L. Blackburn, M.D., Ph.D. Harvard Medical School.
